| The idea of this centre in Penang was mooted by a number of Phakchok Rinpoche's devotees in Penang who recently managed to obtain blessings from His Holiness & his family. HHPCR was born as Tendzin Jigmey Drakpa in 1981 into this very distinguished family who descended from among the six original clans, the Nangchen Tsangsar of the Khepaga line which were chiefly holders of the Barom Kagyu Dharma lineage, a family line who maintained an unbroken tradition of combining Kagyu & Nyingma. We take the opportunity to acknowledge the great spiritual learnings & contributions imparted to His Holiness by his two root gurus, the late Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche & the late Kyabje Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche.
We hope that devotees in Penang can be further blessed to have this centre within the Georgetown which can also offer support to devotees from around the northern region. Our name Rangjung Yeshe Penang Study Group was personally bestowed by H.E. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. May the merits acquired thereafter be shared with all sentient beings. |
